An Update from Council Chairman Mel Franklin
November 4, 2015 | Volume 1, Issue 4
Prince George’s Rising is a countywide newsletter designed to empower communities with key information and issues of concern. It is my honor to serve you for a 2nd year as Chairman of the Prince George’s County Council. Over the last two years, I have worked with my colleagues on the Council to move our County forward. With your help, we are bringing the world to Prince George’s County. For more information, please go to https://www.melfranklin.net or e-mail me at mel@melfranklin.net.
Reminder: Invitation to Conversations with the Chairman – Nov. 9, 10, 17
Join me in a discussion about our County’s future. From over $6 billion in economic development to significant reductions in crime, our County is moving in the right direction. But, amid declining voter participation and the need to accelerate our progress as we look ahead to 2018, let’s discuss our agenda moving forward, including a “big idea” for increasing “community leadership” in the decisions of our county government. All meetings start at 7PM, with doors opening at 6:30. Because space is limited, please RSVP for one of the three community conversations, below, as soon as possible.
