FAME INVITES PRINCE GEORGE’S MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO APPLY FOR INAUGURAL SEASON OF FAME JAZZ BAND

FAME Jazz Band Auditions Open for 2015 – 2016 Season
The FAME Jazz Band (FJB), and its founding Artistic Director, Nat Adderley, Jr., invite middle and high school musicians to audition for its inaugural 2015-2016 Season. Mr. Adderley is an international jazz pianist; and former music director, composer, and arranger for music icon Luther Vandross.
The FJB will provide high caliber music and academic instruction for 30 middle school and high school students who live and/or attend school in Prince George’s County Maryland. Students will receive academic and college prep tutoring support and perform as a structured band.
They will also have the opportunity to participate in FAME’s summer music technology and instrumental programs at the University of Maryland College Park. The FAME Jazz Band brings a very diverse group of talented students together to learn, practice and perform on major stages.
