The County Council is proud to partner with communities across our County to invest in an innovative public school system that draws residents to live in our great County from all over the world.

We are pleased and excited to welcome our nearly 129,000 new and returning students in Prince George’s County, as well as parents, teachers and administrators to the first day of the 2015-2016 school year. 

As a proud public school Dad, I stand with all parents in Prince George’s County in expectation of a world-class education for our children, as we work together with our teachers; get our children to school on time; and attend back to school night activities, school assemblies, parent-teacher association meetings, and parent/teacher conferences.  To ensure the safety of our students as we encounter increased traffic in all forms across the County, drivers are reminded to obey speed limits in school zones.
